Downtown Parking Rate Increase July 1, 2018

On July 1, 2018, parking rates in the Downtown core area will increase to the rates noted in the table below. As a reminder, all meter rates are in effect Mondays through Saturday from 8am to 6pm.

Garages and Lots
(per hour, eff. July 1, 2018)
Central Downtown $1.50 $1.25
Perimeter Area $1.00 $0.75

Monthly parking permits for Downtown garages and parking lots will increase in price at the same time.

Monthly Permit Cost

2nd and El Camino Garage $65
Tennis Court Garage $65
Main Street Garage $65
Transit Center Garage $65
Lot 10 (5th and Claremont) $40
Lot 11 (4th and Claremont) $40
Railroad Ave. bet. 5th and 9th $40

In order to increase “turnover” for high-demand on street parking spaces, which enables shorter-term visitors to find easy access to parking when they shop, dine, or relax in the downtown, meter rates for the on-street parking have been adjusted slightly higher than off-street parking in the garages and lots. Monthly permits for garages and lots have been adjusted to reflect the new hourly rates. The increased fees will support new pay stations and meters, expanded Pay by Phone options, and other Downtown improvements.
