How do I create an account?
It’s easy! Permit holders can create an account at anytime. Simply click the Login/Register button above to begin registration.
First-time users will be prompted to create an account while returning users can simply sign in using an email address and password. You’ll first be asked to select whether you are a private individual or a company. The next step is to enter your personal information including name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and preferred method of contact. Click save.
You’ll receive confirmation of your account in the next window and temporary password. An email will be sent to confirm your registration. Click on the provided link to login to your dashboard. From there you can manage your account, change your password, enter credit card information, and purchase a permit.
How do I purchase a permit?
Select “Apply for Permit” from the left-hand menu. On the next screen select the garage of your choice, opt to auto-renew or not, and enter your license plate number to register your vehicle. Click continue. Review your order, click continue again, and check-out.
Can I opt to auto renew my monthly permit?
Yes, simply select auto renew, and opt to autopay on this screen. You will then be prompted to enter credit card information and submit payment.
How do I retrieve my permit?
After submitting payment, click “Home” under the San Mateo Parking logo. Your active permit will be displayed, and you will receive an email containing the hang tag to print and display in your vehicle.
How do I register as a company?
The process is essentially the same, but you’ll have the opportunity to associate a company name with the account.
Can I register multiple permit holders?
It is not possible to register and manage multiple permit holders under one account. If you are a company administrator registering multiple employees, you will have to create an individual account for each permit holder. The online system makes it easy for individual permit holders to create and manage their account.
